Ingredients for Homemade Laundry Soap
- 1 1/2 cups washing soda
- ½ cup baking soda
- ½ cup Oxi Clean or Awesome Oxygen
- ½ cup coarse sea salt
1 bar doTERRA Citrus Bliss Soap ( or your favorite mild soap like Ivory, when I’m out of doTERRA I use Ivory)
Optional- essential oil
How to Make Homemade Laundry Detergent
Combine baking soda, washing soda, oxi clean, and sea salt in a large bowl.
Grate 1 bar doTerra soap into your mixture.
Stir well to get all ingredients mixed evenly.
Mix in essential oil if desired to scent your homemade laundry soap, otherwise, it will just have a light clean scent. Try these DIY Dryer Sheets for added softness and scent.
Transfer mixture to a 2 quart Mason Jar, add a 1 T. measuring spoon for scooping.
To use:
Drop 1 heaping Tablespoon of soap into the water at the start of the wash cycle, for extremely soiled loads use 2 Tablespoons.
